2022 - Peking Opera Matinée: Asian Heritage Month Celebration

at University of Ottawa’s Academic Hall with artists from Ottawa and Toronto.
 

2021 – The Jade Bracelet

an afternoon of Peking Opera supported by ARTicipate and produced at the Shenkman Arts Centre with both live audience and streamed online. 

2021 - CelebrAsian Dance: Asian Heritage Month Celebration

the Collective’s first online event in partnership with Axé WorldFest featured three Ottawa performers from different Asian dance traditions as part of the Ottawa Asian Heritage Month celebration.

2019 – Ottawa Arts Court Theatre

with repertoires “A Lonely Widow” and “The Jade Bracelet” with artists from Ottawa and Toronto, including a small Chinese opera costume exhibition as well as an art installation by Ottawa interdisciplinary artist Don Kwan.

2019 – “Undivided Colours”

The Ottawa Dance Directive (ODD) Box, Arts Court “Undivided Colours” with four established dance artists from Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver showcasing different Asian dance forms.

2018 – Close Encounter with the Peking Opera

Ottawa Arts Court Theatre with artists from Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Pieces from Peking Opera, Hu Opera and Kun Opera styles; original dance creation by Little Pear Garden; Unissia Huang playing the Guzheng; photo exhibit by Simona Cherler.

2016 – La Nouvelle Scene

with repertoires “Heavenly Maiden”, “MuKe Fortress” and “Female Warrior Wu” with artists from Ottawa and Toronto.

2015 – National Arts Centre Fourth Stage

with repertoires “Sister You” and “The Autumn River”, featuring William Lau with artists from Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, and China.

2014 – Peking Opera Soirée

University of Ottawa’s Academic Hall with artists from Ottawa and China. Three Peking opera repertoires including a special appearance by  Mingzhu Sun, William Lau’s teacher! This show was part of a national tour
